Art Festival
Yim Tin Tai Art Festival is held on an island in the countryside of Hong Kong. The island boasts a rich and unique history, characterized by a fusion of Catholicism and salt production. Eventually, all residents relocated from the island to the city. The art festival aims to reintroduce the island's distinctiveness and raise awareness of the rural and natural beauty of Hong Kong.
For this personal project, I have redesigned the visual identity with the concept of extracting the essence of the island's uniqueness, namely its salt industry and Catholic history. By employing the abstract square form of salt and its versatile combination, along with the blue color representing the sea, I have implemented applications from various dimensions to bring forth a clear yet consistent identity. This redesign seeks to uplift the true value of the island and aims to drive awareness of an art festival held in this tiny locale.
